Mitchoun Alusma

With over 15 years in the Construction Industry, his experience started as a residential plaster and finishing carpenter. He transitioned to commercial construction first as a Brick Mason Laborer where he proved himself a more worthier asset to the company as their Cut Man then became their Brick Foreman.

Education has always been at his forefront, therefore receiving his Construction degree was only the beginning of many more construction credentials sought afterwards. He went on to become a NCCER certified and OSHA authorized Construction Industry Instructor. The latter has allowed him to teach construction trades for four years in the craft areas of Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing.

Jose Alexander Camargo

Since September 2019, Alex Camargo has served as an adjunct lecturer for the Construction Trades Certificate Program. He has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry between the Central Western Region of Venezuela and the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area, USA. He currently manages construction projects for a licensed electrical contracting business based in Miami. Alex is a certified NCCER Instructor with a background in Construction and Project Management.

 Alex received the degree of BS in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo (UC), Valencia, Venezuela. He earned his degree of MS in Management from Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua (UBA) in Maracay, Venezuela where he spent two years as an assistant professor assigned to the School of Electrical Engineering. He received the 1st place award in the 7th IEEE Region 9 Congress in 2006.

Eduardo Denis Levy

Studied Industrial engineering at Havana University, and graduated from the NCCER TRAMCON program. He has been teaching with the NCCER curriculum in the Construction Trades Program for 3 years in Electrical and Carpentry in both Spanish and English.

He is also an NHI (National Highway Institute) certified Bridge Inspector. Currently acting as a Deputy Safety manager for an engineering company while performing topside and underwater inspection on concrete, steel, and timber structures as well as overhead signs and traffic signal mast arms.

Francis Scollieri Garlin

Business Administration and Human Resources Degree with strong background in Project Management, extensive experience in Oil industry, facilities and civil construction by managing the overall coordination of projects, the implementation of activities of inspection, work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met, collection and analysis of data to estimate cost and efficiencies. Resources and labor required for project and services. Able to identify and resolve issues, coordinate manufacturing, technical and quality team.

Adays Leon

Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Adays earned her Associate Degree in Civil Engineering in 2005. Her educational journey continued as she moved to Miami and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management at Florida International University in 2018. For more than 10 years, she has successfully overseen numerous projects, from inception to completion. She currently works for a well-known general contractor company as a project manager collaborating in very high-end construction projects. 

The construction industry is rife with challenges, specially for women, but each obstacle has been an opportunity for growth. Integrity, collaboration, and a commitment are at the core of my professional values. She is sure that her passion for construction and the acquired knowledge can contribute to the growth and development of others.

Francisco Oliver Jimenez

Francisco's passion for design and architecture began more than 30 years ago in El Salvador, his country of origin. In the early years he started designing and building custom made furniture until his interest in construction materials and methods led him to continue building his construction education, until he finished his master's degree in Industrial Design.

In 2012- he became part of the education system with hisparticipation as an instructor/Lab Manager in the school of architecture at a local college. In 2018, he transitioned to the FIU Construction Trades Program as an Adjunct lecturer certified to teach NCCER Electrical and Carpentry in English and Spanish as well Solar Photovoltaic Installation.

John Weaver

Teaching the last 5 years as am NCCER certified lecturer in trades that include Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, and Construction Craft Laborer. He is also a OSHA certified instructor. Additionally, he has been a Journeyman Carpenter Union/Non-Union 40 plus years. Working with residential and commercial projects.

Karel Valdes

With a degree in Industrial Engineering, he never thought that he would be so passionate about construction, he started working in the industry coordinating and overseeing projects with MDCPS and Jackson Memorial Hospital while taking classes in the Construction Trades Program. This was the takeoff of his professional career, soon after graduating from COHORT 2. He later had the opportunity to oversee a residential high-rise project working as Mechanical Superintendent. He is currently working as a General Superintendent and oversees Federal Projects such as High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) offices renovations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Office renovations.
